Golf is not a Game of Perfect
Golf is not a Game of Perfect is my April choice for Book of the Month.
The book was originally published in the UK in 2004 by Dr Bob Rotella, an internationally acclaimed golf performance consultant.
Most golf books tell you the mental aspects of the game, and rely on specific techniques to show you how to improve your game. But Bob boes beyond this: He helps you create a wholistic mindset of all aspects of your golf game ranging from the skills needed to program your mind for success, to the skills you need for competitive golf.
Now, this book is not for everyone. If you are pragmatic and think you can improve your game by self reflection, then you don't need the book. In fact, some of my mates reckon the book states the obvious, and whatever knowledge you derive from it is "so obvious that it goes without saying".
Well, yours truly is always hungry for knowledge, and I found that the book actually help me gather what I already knew, and put it into a logical system that helped me focus on my game.
